In light of the U.S. government’s anticipated IANA functions’ stewardship transition, ICANN has seen the broadest global participation in its history: the Internet community is not only developing a technical plan for the future of the IANA functions, but is also taking this opportunity to determine accountability enhancements that will empower the Internet community and strengthen multistakeholder policymaking.
